Terms of Service
Agreement
These terms are between you and Eklavya Studios for the Silicon Shorts Android app and these public pages. By installing, opening, or using the app you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
Silicon Shorts is a reader for short technology headlines, summaries, and links to original reporting. Summaries and bullet points are generated or edited with software, including large language models, and shown with a link to the source when we have one. We do not claim to be the original publisher. Headlines, article text, images, and trademarks remain the property of their owners. The feed and features can change.
Accounts
Sign-in is optional and uses Google. You must keep that account secure. You may delete the Silicon Shorts account as described on the account deletion page. We may suspend access that disrupts the service, scrapes it in a way that degrades it for others, or breaks the law.
Acceptable use
Do not break into our systems or other users' data, do not redistribute the feed in bulk as a competing database, and do not use the app to publish unlawful content. Personal, non-commercial reading, bookmarking, and sharing of a story card or link is allowed.
Copyright complaints
If you believe material in the app infringes a copyright you own, email breejesh.rathod@gmail.com with your contact details, the work you own, the story id or URL in the app, and a statement that you believe the use is not authorized and that the notice is accurate. We will review and, where appropriate, remove or replace the summary and link.
Content, AI, and financial disclaimer
Silicon Shorts is a general news reader. It is not a news wire, not a financial adviser, not a broker, and not a professional adviser of any kind. Short summaries, bullets, translations, and read-aloud audio can be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect, including because they are produced with automated tools. Stories about startups, fundraising, crypto, tokens, or markets are journalism summaries, not an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. Crypto assets can lose all value. Do your own research and consider a licensed adviser before making a financial decision. Security stories are not instructions to attack systems. Open the original article for the full report.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Eklavya Studios and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from use of the app. Our total liability for a claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the previous 12 months, which is zero while the app is free. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud or non-waivable consumer rights. Some places do not allow certain limitations. There, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Your content
Bookmarks and settings you sync stay yours. You give us a limited license to host them so sync works. That license ends when the data is deleted, except for copies kept briefly in backups.
Ending use
You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may stop offering the app. Disclaimers, liability limits, and the copyright-complaint process still apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction, except where a non-waivable consumer law where you live lets you bring a claim locally. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
